No. We bulk-import your employee data via Excel/template and take over your opening cumulative tax bases. Folkena supports the income-tax base carried over from a previous employer on a mid-year employer change — so your payrolls are calculated correctly from the very first month.
Can my accountant use the system?
Yes — Folkena speaks your accountant's language. It makes their work easier with withholding and SGK reconciliation, chart-of-accounts journal entries, Logo/Mikro/Luca export and a 100-column cost report. With role-based authorisation you can give your accountant limited access.
Do 2026 legislative changes arrive automatically?
Yes. Legal parameters such as the minimum wage, SGK rates, income-tax brackets, disability relief and the severance ceiling are updated annually from a central table — you don't need to update anything manually.
Is the KVKK and OHS compliance really comprehensive?
Yes. On the KVKK side there are 7 comprehensive explicit consents, VERBIS tracking, SLA-based management of data-subject rights, a retention-destruction list and an access log. On the OHS side, the four obligations of OHS Law 6331 (3-business-day work-accident notification, OHS board, risk assessment, periodic examination and training hours) are tracked; both produce CSV/PDF reports you can hand to an inspector.
Do I have to buy a device for time tracking?
No. Employees can clock in/out with a location-verified (GPS geo-fence) mobile app, by QR or by face recognition. You can also import records from your existing biometric devices via CSV. As required by KVKK, no IP address is logged.
